Welcome message

The IMUM2014 – 13th International workshop on Multiscale (Un)-structured mesh numerical Modeling for coastal shelf and global ocean dynamics provides a unique venue for commercial, academic, and governmental scientists and engineers from around the world to present and discuss the latest results and techniques regarding the use of unstructured mesh models.

The workshop will follow the same informal and interactive style of past IMUM events and will be open to all areas of unstructured numerical modeling, such as numerical schemes, finite volume and finite elements discretization, solvers, mesh generation, high performance computing, nesting nowcast-forecast systems and couplings between structured and unstructured models of all kinds (i.e., hydrodynamic, waves, atmospheric, morphodynamic, water quality, oil spills or biochemical models).

Oral and poster contributions related to all of the above research activities and directions are welcome at the workshop.

The event will be held from 25 August through 27 August 2014 at the National Civil Engineering Laboratory (LNEC), in Lisbon, Portugal.
